The meridian group has entered the market of renewable energies by developing and constructing wind power plants. In the years from 2003 to 2006 we have erected various wind power plants in Germany. Our company group accompanies the wind power projects from the acquisition of suitable locations to project development and construction up to the operation of the plants. The meridian group’s strategy is to construct long-term efficient and reliable wind power plants, especially for its own stock.

As the business segment “wind power” is characterized by long projecting and planning periods due to comprehensive official licensing procedures and studies, the company group has concentrated increasingly on the implementation of photovoltaic projects from 2004. In order to diversify the energy system portfolio, the activities in the field of “wind power” have been reintensified and since 2010 the portfolio of wind power plants was further expanded by erecting additional wind parks. Apart from the existing project pipeline we steadily search for suitable locations. Nonetheless, we are also open to projects in different development stages, cooperations or new ideas and visions.

After the first erected wind parks have been sold we have started to keep our projects in our own portfolio. The current stock includes 7 wind parks with an overall power of 23 MW. Further wind park projects with a cumulated power of 63 MW are planned for the short term.
